WHO WE ARE
Our Mission
Our Mission is to help create a comfortable and liveable situation for the Haitian people, impacting their daily life directly and providing support for a better future.
Our program has expanded to provide shelter, food, medical supplies, and most importantly education. We believe education is the only means to a better world.
The support we provide extends beyond that of the orphanage grounds. We work with and around the local communities to ensure that support is not only provided to the orphanage but also to the nearby village of Saint Louis du Sud.
The school offers education to other children from the village in addition to all the clothes and supplies donated to the orphanage.
We not only want to provide, but to also teach them how to develop and become an independent, self-sustaining orphanage that promotes environmental awareness which comes from within and spreads towards the community.
We strive to accomplish more than just making donations from fundraising by making education our number one priority.
*We strive to accomplish more than just providing aid; We have made education our number one priority.

Our History
Our History- This project was started unexpectedly in 2007 by Pr. Jorge da Cunha alongside Pr. Cleverson De Oliveira who were part of a Christian community in South Florida when a group of Haitians came to the church seeking help to rent out a the property for a place of worship.
Pr. Cleverson De Oliveira agreed to rent out the church’s property allowing them to have a place of worship. Soon after, the group asked Pr Cleverson if they could be donated the space a few times a week since they did not yet have the funds to rent it. Touched by this request, Pr. Cleverson De Oliveira agreed and opened the space for service.
A few months later, the lead pastor from the Haitian group told Pr. Jorge and Pr. Cleverson about an American Missionary who was doing incredible work at an orphanage in Haiti helping and were invited to join. The orphanage was run by Pr. Julien Todo who had left his own family and friends at home in Miami to go help his homeland. Intrigued, both were able to arrange to go to Haiti and see the orphanage for the first time. Upon arrival they were deeply concerned and devastated by the reality the children had been facing. The orphanage children slept in lines on a floor, each with a single blanket scattered between tents and metal sheds. The food and water were scarce, almost non-existent.
Pr. Cleverson and Pr. Jorge returned to Florida with a mission, little did they know their lives had changed forever. Together they agreed to spread the word and they were committed to getting the children properly fed and to provide at the very least simple basic living conditions. Unfortunately, a few months later the American Missionary supporting Pr. Julien passed away, once again leaving the orphanage devastated and scared. It was then that the project was taken on solely by Pr. Jorge and Pr. Cleverson De Oliveira. They combined forces and together began hosting simple charity events. Before we knew it, we were getting help from the local community and radios stations.
From 2007 until today we have been working with limited resources. However, after many generous contributions, donations, and help from our friends we are now able to have a fully functioning website and provide for over two to three visits from our missionaries every year.
We have come a long way from where we started, and are very thankful to each and every one of you.
How do we do it:
Each one of our volunteers agrees to pay for their own flight. While the international airlines usually allow each volunteer to bring two free bags, the volunteers agree to pay for one extra bag; totalling in three 50 pound bags that are stocked with supplies for the children. Supplies typically consist of clothing, shoes, food products (approved by TSA), toys, medical, and school supplies. The volunteers take their own carry-on for their personal use and need.
We work hard to stock on necessities over the months we are in between visits to the site to ensure their needs are met during our absence.
We are 100% committed to our children, so we ensure that none of our funds go toward any individual outside of Haiti. This means to say that we DO NOT get paid for what we do.
